I was lucky enough to meet Rachel when she was pregnant with Anja and I was pregnant with my first baby also; from the first meeting of our NCT group, her warmth, compassion and just all round lovely person shone through. I never got to meet Alick, but having read others thoughts and memories of him, it's clear that the qualities that I know and love in Rachel have been inspired by someone who had those qualities himself.
