Thoughts

Alick is one of the nicest gentlemen I ever had the pleasure of knowing. He had such a big heart and I will always remember him as a gentle, caring man who showed me such kindness. I would always refer to Alick and Wylda as the K team – an epic team. When I was 12-years old, I became Rachel’s friend at boarding school. Alick made me feel like part of the family, especially when he tucked me in when I stayed over! I spent so many happy times at Steuarthall, from birthday parties, to visits over weekends & holidays which included trips to beautiful lochs in Scotland for picnics. I’ll never forget how proud Alick was when he walked Rachel down the aisle, he was beaming and he made the most lovely, heartfelt speech. I’ll cherish all times we spent together, most recently seeing Alick and Wlyda over the Xmas period the last 2 years. Alick’s cheeky smile and funny jokes are all part of his charm. I feel privileged to have known him and will miss him very much.

I had the pleasure of working with Mr Alick, and found him a true Gentleman, no matter who you were he always had time for you, he was a very family man,and always asked after your family, i often caught up with him & Wylda in Stirling and enjoyed our chat. He will be very much missed. Margaret

It was a delight to be invited to Alick and Wylda's home to catch up after almost 50 years post school. A lovely day, in beautiful surrounds, with family. So sad that this can never happen again. Visit spoiled slightly by having to admit defeat to Alick and partner on the golf course.....but he was like that. So special to have had a chance to catch up after so long. Happy memories indeed.
